Words and Phrases That Instill Courage

I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.”

Famous words by the most successful and influential basketball player Michael Jordan. More often than not, the fear of failure and experiencing failure are the main things that keep you from gathering the courage you need to bring your vision to life.

Think about this for a second. “If you were to fail 26 times or even 20 times at the same thing, would you keep trying?”. A lot of people I know give up after failing a few times, and that is the mistake everyone makes. Giving up or quitting is not an option if you are to attain greatness.

The main reason you decide to throw in the towel and call it a day is because of fear. You are afraid of the feeling you get when you fail. You are scared of how people look at you when you fail after committing publicly. You are worried that if you give it another shot, you still won’t make it. You are just afraid!

Attaining your goals requires a certain level of courage and determination, without which you cannot maintain the zeal that is needed to succeed. The only way of mastering the much-needed courage at all times is by overcoming your fear of failure.
